It was time to hope on the train and head back to NYC for AnimeNYC. This was our first group trip to this all anime convention being held at Javits Center. Despite the cold and Covid-19, anime fans flocked to this year venue. There was no shortage of awesome cosplayers, and talented artists displayed their works of art for fans to see. We had a great time, eating Takoyaki and sushi at the Japanese food court. Unfortunately, the panel screenings and movie showings were booked to capacity because I sure would have enjoyed watching the 1000th episode of One Piece. It was a great way to end 2021 with this last group outing. Little did we know that Omicron was on the horizon.
